Bug Hunting in the Backyard

Amelia, Diane and I went out into the wilds of our backyard this morning on a bug hunt. We found a few cool critters hanging around including this amazing little spider. I know nothing about spiders, but I have a feeling I may be learning very soon. Right now, it just looks awesome! CLICK HERE or on the photo for a larger view.

The grey tree frog has been in the same area for the last couple of days, perfectly placed at eye level on some vines climbing one of the bigger trees on the property. The frogs don't even blink when I put my macro camera up close. Easy peasy to shoot...if you can find them.

And finally, I couldn't help including a shot of this fly, with beautiful blue iridescent stripes.
